New Friend...

Here is a new friend we made... poor little guy showed up one day in the middle of an ice storm. He was wet and very cold (he actually he ice on his back). We let him in, gave him a bath and feed him. Still not sure if he has a family. He doesn't have any tags and kinda comes and goes. I won't let him stay overnight as I am not sure what terrible things I would find in the morning. We know he is part fox, not sure what he is mixed with. In a way we hope he doesn't have a home because we have become attached to this little guy. Sarah loves to rough house with him which gives Star a break! :-) Since we don't know his name we have been calling him Foxy. Stay tuned to see if he becomes a part of the family.

Timmy's Toy

This is my very first brand new bike! This is my 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300. It's in the class of super sport cruiser. I picked it up in May and already have over 6,500 miles on it despite a very wet summer. It is as fast as it looks, so far top speed 165 mph and it was still pulling! This bike handles like a sport bike and has much of the comfort of a cruiser. I have never felt a bike with this much acceleration, it pulls extremely hard through all the gears. You definately feel more like a pilot than a rider. You'll see plenty of pics of FJR adventures to come! Check out the pics from Deal's Gap!

Tim's Tattoos

Here is the art that I have so far. All my work was done by Carl Cederman
at Carl's Tattoos in North Tonawanda, NY. The pictures don't do them justice... great work!
The cat above is on my right calf. To the upper right is my first tat and is on my right bicep. Below is the newest one and is on my left bicep. The angry sun below in on my left chest. Hopefully I will be adding another this coming spring.

Our Kids

Star is the dark brown one, she is a mix of Chocolate Lab and Pit Bull. She's almost 6 now and showing her grey. I got Star from the SPCA in NY when she was 2 1/2. Star is the alpha female and a great companion. Sarah is the golden pooch. Sarah is Golden Retriever / Lab mix. Sarah came to us the day after Siera died. Siera was Sabrina's very first dog of her own and was the sweetest dog ever. Unfortunately only 2 weeks after we moved to our new home, she was hit by a car. We were devestated and never imagined the pain could be so great. Well, a friend called us the very next day and explained she had a friend with a litter of pups (same mix as Siera, coincidence?). There was a particular pup that reminded our friend of Siera... and they wanted to give her to us to help ease the pain. When we arrived at our friend house, the cutest little bundle of joy was waiting for inspection. Strange thing... this little pup had a purple harness on. Well, Siera had a purple collar on when she died. (our friend had no idea). All it took was Sabrina to hold this little pup, get a lick on the face... with tears in her eyes all she had to say was... "her name is Sarah..." with that we had a new edition to our family. She will never replace Siera but has a special place in our hearts. Sarah has also been a huge challenge. She chewed more than any pup I've known. Let me paint a picture... puppies love to chew on wood right? We live in a log home... need I say more? :-) She has since gotten out of the chewing phase and has taken to being our "alarm". Sarah like to sit on the porch and let us know if anything is approching the property. Sarah is a great guard dog (at least the alarm portion, she counts on Star as her "backup"). Sarah prefers to be outside while Star would rather be inside on cold or wet days. Sabrina would like more dogs but 2 is just fine for now.

Painting Project

We decided it was time to add some color to the walls. Deciding to be a little bold we picked this color and hoped for the best. It was scary when first putting it on but, we are very happy with the finished product. The room feels very warm. I wish we would have done this much earlier.
I also replaced the light and some trim around a few doors.
Now we are on a mission so stay tuned the bedroom is next....

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!
Well here it is the 4th or 5th thanksgiving that Tim and I have spent in the south. I realized today that even though I miss my family I wouldnt want to spend it any were else. We were cooking our turkey today and had the doors open. It was 65 degrees today! Gotta love that. I hope everyone else had a wonderful day with there friends and family.
Tim's boss mike shot a deer today and gave it to Tim. He spent a good portion of the day cutting it up and grinding it into meat. What a chore that was, but now I don't have to buy ground beef for a while. I started my second round of classes this week. It seems that they will require a lot more of my time then the others but thats the name of the game. Nothing comes with out a little bit of work. I have to work tomorrow and Saturday. :O( i am not happy about that. Tim will be off till monday. I have started my Christmas shopping already and seem to be stuck. Not sure what else to get Tim. We are going to spend Christmas at Ronnies this yr. So I need to make sure we have their gifts all set. Tim and I are also dressing up again this year for christmas at work and we usually just pass out candy. But i thought it would be nice to pass out cookies to the coaches as well. I have 9 different kinds of cookies to make and about 15 batches. I should get started on those soon. I was going to work on some today but that dang turkey has made me too tired. Besides I just cleaned the kitchen. Who wants to dirty that back up again... not me not today!
Well off to go snuggle with Tim. Stay tuned for some pictures soon.
Peace and Love,
Sabrina

Pictures from Deals Gap 10-22-05

This was from a motorcycle ride that started with me riding to Ronnie's in Atlanta after work on a Friday. The next morning Ronnie and I meet up with some more friends and road to Deal's Gap. Deal's Gap has 318 turns in 11 miles and deep in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Deal's Gap is also known as Tail of the Dragon, due to the amount of curves. The ride was beautiful, we were able to skirt around some rain, so we stayed dry for the most part. We rented a cabin in the mountains and rode back home the following day. By the time I got back late afternoon Sunday I had rode a total of 742 miles! Now that's a ride! I believe this will be a yearly "guy's weekend". :-)

Greetings and salutations

Hello!!
Well i have hit a slow spot in my life...umm do those really exsist? I worked today and it was blissfuly slow! It was such a welcome releaf. My Inlaws came up on thursday from FL to escape hurricane wilma, i couldnt imagine having to pack up and move everytime a hurricane threatens your home. However i am glad there are here and we dont have to worry about them, in fact i came home today to dinner all ready done. it was such welcome break that i will actually have time to scrapbook tonight...gasp..scrapbook me? i might have forgotten how to do that LOL
Tim is out riding the tail of the dragon today with ronnie, john, alan, bobby, and some other new guys. He went down to GA on friday and left this morning for tail of the dragon aka deals gap in NC. We expect him to be home on Sunday around noon and then we will take the in laws out to a flea market. I miss him and can't wait till he gets home.
work is still work. I cant wait to get to a different position but so far nothing is open yet. So i will plug along and do what i need to do to till something better comes along.
School is going well. I am in wk 5 and only 4 more left till the first semester is complete. I love taking onling classes. Its so much easier and i dont have to listen to a boring teacher drone on and on and on. I am doing very well in the classed so i am sure that adds to the excitement of them.
Well time to close for today. I will post some pictures of deals gap when tim gets back.
thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update soon. I will try to update this at least onece a wk maybe more but i cant promise that. :O)
Take care
Peace and Love

Back Ground

HI!
Welcome to my very first blog. Here is where you will find pictures of Tim and I and our random outings.
You will find my latest creations of scrapbooking. You might also find my inner thoughts or even my many ramblings that i have a tendency to do. You will hear about the good times and the bad times. Here is a spot that all my family and friends can come to in order to keep up with Tim and I and our busy lives. You will almost always find a funny story about Star and Sarah and even the not so funny ones. So pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee and lets get caught up...
Peace and Love
Tim and Sabrina
